Mike Belliveau graduated from Colby College after having played with the White Mules for the last four seasons. Belliveau scored 2 goals and added 9 assists in his senior season. He played 88 games during his 4 years scoring 13 times and adding 29 assists for 42 career points while at Colby. In his senior season Belliveau was named to the NESCAC Conference All Academic Team as well as the All Sportsmanship Team. Brogan Bailey has decided to continue his hockey by going to the CIS Nipissing University Lakers next season of the CIS.  Bailey played four seasons for the Woodstock Slammers of the MHL and led the Slammers to a Kent Cup Championship as team captain. For his efforts Bailey was named the most valuable player in the playoffs by the Maritime Hockey League officials. Bailey recorded 86 goals and 90 assists in 201 regular season games. "Bailey has been a tremendous person for our program and it has been a pleasure to be associated with this young man said Head Coach Jason Tartanic. Jared Ross played 48 games with the Providence Bruins in his Rookie season in AHL.  Ross scored 1 goal and added 6 assists for the Boston Bruins’ number one farm team. David Walker was Captain ECHL All Star Team, and recorded a career high 7 goals and 35 assists for 42 points in his 6th year of pro with the California based Ontario Reign of the ECHL. Walker was also named the Ontario Reigns Player of the Year. Walker spent August with the Iserlohn Roosters of the German Elite League before deciding to return to the Ontario Reign. Jacob Conrad played 38 games with the Gatineau Olympiques this season recording 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points. He also played 21 games for the Bridgewater Lumberjacks scoring 11 goals and adding 2 assists before being called up to the Olympiques. Tyler Naugler won the CIS Championship with the Saint Mary’s Huskies. Tyler was the Huskies Assistant Coach. Jody Shelley was traded to Rangers late in the season. During the off-season he signed a three year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. Shelley has played 538 NHL games for four different NHL teams during his 13 year pro career. Three Canadian Tire Mustangs heard their name called at the MHL (formerly MJAHL) Draft. Goaltender Billy Clarke was taken by the Bridgewater Lumberjacks as their first territorial pick late in round 2. As a rookie Billy played in 26 games compiling a record of 7-17-1 with 1 shutout. Billy is "happy to be chosen in the draft" and is "looking forward to doing my best at training camp."Forward Brandon Verge was taken 2nd in the 6th round by the Weeks Crushers. Verge led the Mustangs in scoring last season posting 17 goals and adding 11 assists in 35 games. Goaltender Evan DeViller was chosen by the Weeks Crushers in the 10th round. DeViller played in 12 games last season with a GAA of 4.68. Evan is "thrilled to be going to such a great organization!" The Canadian Tire Mustangs would like to congratulate Team Captain Graham Mann who won the John Hanna Memorial Award given annually to the Most Sportsmanlike Player. He also took home a $500 scholarship from the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Jordan Scott made the jump to the CIS finishing his first season with the Saint Thomas Tommies. Ryan Getson won the Bridgewater Lumberjacks Most Improved player award. Justin Collier went to finals where he was pitted against former Mustang Brogan Bailey.

The Crushers were informed at the end of last season that Collier was going to explore some different hockey options in the U.S. He has spent his summer training in Denver, Colorado with the hopes of catching the eye of a NCAA Division 1 school or a minor pro team. Before returning home to Halifax in late July, Collier was approached and offered a place to play with the Arizona Sundogs of the CHL. Ultimately he decided that a return to the Crushers and the Maritime Junior Hockey League was in his best interest. Dane Marshall has decided to return to the Mississippi River Kings for his third pro season. Last year Marshall recorded 6 goals and added 14 assists as a solid defensemen for the Kings. Logan Phillips will be playing his second season in the International Junior Hockey League with the Cape Cob Cubs. Logan is off to a fast start scoring 5 goals and adding 3 assists in his first 8 games for the Cubs. Glen Carey, former Mustang player serves as the General Manager of the Cape Cod Cubs. Jack Strowbridge will be a senior with the Rice Memorial Green Knights, a prep school in Vermont. Jack is off to a quick start with the Green Knights this season scoring 2 goals and adding 4 assists in his first 7 games. Andrew Morrison graduated from UCC having served as captain of the Blues and has decided to go to Hamilton College a NCAA D-3 team in Clinton, New York. Ryan Sanford is playing for the Windsor Royals of the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League where he joins former Mustang Jordan Morash.  Former Mustang defenceman Bryce Hirtle is entering his second season in the NSJHL with the Bay Ducks.
